Mountain biking across the UK offers a range of events tailored specifically for women riders. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, these events provide opportunities for skill development, friendly competition, and community building.

This group is a social group which encourages ladies of all mountain biking abilities, from the complete novice to the more accomplished rider. By gaining support and encouragement from like-minded ladies, you will grow in confidence, improve techniques, gain fitness and achieve more than you thought you could possibly do!
 
Dame Cycling was the brainchild of International Mountain Biker, Downhill, dirt jumper and Slalom racer Kelli Salone 07718585000 who recognised a large short fall in the support and apparel available to the increasing numbers of female riders in the UK. Dame Cycling encourages female riders of all abilities to experience and enjoy all disciplines of cycling whether you enjoy just a leisure ride on the weekend or compete in cycling races either MTB or Road.

Firecrest Mountain Biking’s Young Rider Development Programme (Known as DeVo) runs Mountain Bike Skills Courses for riders from 8 years to 18 years of age. DeVo focusses on having fun and developing the Mountain Bike Skills Essentials to get the most from your Mountain Bike. Girls DeVo is for young female riders from the age of 8-16yrs is run under the experienced eye of @firecrest_mtb

Gowaan Gals - Festival

Gowaan Gals organise the Gowaan Fest annual festival, a weekend of mountain biking, meeting new people and trying new things. You can certainly count on a fun-filled weekend, from pushing your limits on the airbag, or having a taster coaching session, to kicking back with a beer and watching the carnage of the dual slalom race unfold. The weekend is for everyone, bring along your families to enjoy a camping weekend (camping is included with the tickets) and boys & girls under 8 go free!

We deliver female-only ride days to develop confidence, bust imposter syndrome on the trails and bring like-minded women together to experience the thrill of mountain biking. Our events are designed to bring together females searching for adventure and keen to try new sports.  We want to address the confidence barrier that women often have to take the first step in predominantly male-dominated sports, such as mountain biking.  Women supporting women, learning new skills, having fun and making new friends.

A women's mountain bike festival like no other. There will be multiple skills sessions to choose from, inspiring speakers, jams with pro riders, bike maintenance workshops and advanced sessions where the riders can learn and practice tricks on the mulch jumps under the guidance of our expert coaches.

Pedalhounds holds its races primarily in the South of England. Inclusive grassroots MTB - EMTB Enduro races, ideal for beginner and intermediate riders especially if you haven’t raced before The series includes several rounds, with events taking place in various scenic locations throughout this region. Pedalhounds offers specific categories for women.  These categories allow women of different age groups to participate in both traditional mountain biking and e-bike racing events.

The trails are all rollable and the mashup format takes race pressure out of the equation! You get a full day of timed stages and a lot of riding for your entrance fee “Whilst the top riders enter to win, it’s more about getting out on your bike, having a go and enjoying the friendly banter – it’s a chilled fun day out!”

Overall in the year, there are 5 Stages,  4 Runs per stage, 20 Stage Runs, Up to 5 Hours of Racing, Camping, and Friendly well-organised events. Free entry parking for, spectators, friends and family. On-site Food and Drink

Dfyi Events

Spring, Coed y Brenin, Wales. The event features a staggered start making for a more relaxed atmosphere and giving riders a better chance to enjoy Coed y Brenin’s world-class singletrack. Riders will take on 1, 2 or 3 laps of a (roughly) 12km loop. The route is a hand-picked remix of Coed y Brenin’s finest trails. You don’t need to pick a distance before you start, simply ride 1,2 or 3 laps and your time is allocated appropriately. It’s a great way to ease into the year with a challenge that can be tailored to your riding ability and fitness goals
