Mountain biking across the UK offers a range of events tailored specifically for women riders. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, these events provide opportunities for skill development, friendly competition, and community building.

England - Festivals, Women's Days, Jam's and Rides

SheRides. A female ride collective, 

These folk are passionate about mountain biking and outdoor adventure. They aim to get more women out on the MTB trails. By offering free social rides, promoting women’s MTB groups, showcasing events and offering up MTB-specific information in their blog they hope to grow the community of rad female riders.

Offer Women-only Introduction to Mountain Biking  - One of the most popular courses aims to introduce good techniques to riders wanting to start mountain biking or bring on their skills. A mixture of technique coaching and building your skills on the trails under the instruction of our brilliant coaches.

Gowaan Gals

Gowaan Festival

Gowaan Gals organise the Gowaan Fest annual festival, a weekend of mountain biking, meeting new people and trying new things. You can certainly count on a fun-filled weekend, from pushing your limits on the airbag, or having a taster coaching session, to kicking back with a beer and watching the carnage of the dual slalom race unfold. The weekend is for everyone, bring along your families to enjoy a camping weekend (camping is included with the tickets) and boys & girls under 8 go free!

A weekend of wilderness riding, confidence-inspiring skills coaching, empowering workshops and our fun, community Wild Wye Raid aka cycling treasure hunt! Whether you’re a weekend rider or a cycling addict. Regardless of your age, ability or the quality of your bike. This gathering is a welcoming space for you.

England - Races 

Pedalhounds, South of England, 

Pedalhounds

Pedalhounds holds its races primarily in the South of England. Inclusive grassroots MTB - EMTB Enduro races, ideal for beginner and intermediate riders especially if you haven’t raced before The series includes several rounds, with events taking place in various scenic locations throughout this region. Pedalhounds offers specific categories for women.  These categories allow women of different age groups to participate in both traditional mountain biking and e-bike racing events.

The trails are all rollable and the mashup format takes race pressure out of the equation! You get a full day of timed stages and a lot of riding for your entrance fee “Whilst the top riders enter to win, it’s more about getting out on your bike, having a go and enjoying the friendly banter – it’s a chilled fun day out!”

Overall in the year, there are 5 Stages,  4 Runs per stage, 20 Stage Runs, Up to 5 Hours of Racing, Camping, and Friendly well-organised events. Free entry parking for, spectators, friends and family. On-site Food and Drink

Dirt Divas is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to increasing inclusivity in the outdoors. We are a group of mountain bike guides, coaches and riders who believe in the power of the bike to improve mental and physical health and bring people together! We are based in Aberfoyle, Scotland and create events throughout central Scotland to bring women, non-binary, and trans people opportunities to have fun on bikes and explore the outdoors. Dirt Farm is hosting a Women's Days. This is to encourage women of all abilities and ages to come and have a go at riding the Dirt Farm trails for our Women's day. This relaxed day is a great way to meet other riders and celebrate women's riding! Keep an eye on their socials.

These folks have over the years hosted many Women's MTB events. A fun day to enjoy the park, build confidence, and make new friends while riding the fantastic trails. Keep an eye on their website for future events!

Women's Mountain Bike Fest, didn't run in 2024 but planning to be back in 2025 for a weekend festival.

Hafod Trails, Llansawel, Carmarthenshire Wales

Hafod Trails has started organising Women's events with drop-in coaching workshops that offer the opportunity to improve your MTB skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Uplift and coaching are included in the price. Keep an eye on their socials.

Wales - Other Inclusive Events

Fox Antifreeze: Spring, Coed y Brenin, Wales. The event features a staggered start making for a more relaxed atmosphere and giving riders a better chance to enjoy Coed y Brenin’s world-class singletrack. Riders will take on 1, 2 or 3 laps of a (roughly) 12km loop. The route is a hand-picked remix of Coed y Brenin’s finest trails. You don’t need to pick a distance before you start, simply ride 1,2 or 3 laps and your time is allocated appropriately. It’s a great way to ease into the year with a challenge that can be tailored to your riding ability and fitness goals

Inclusive-led bike rides for all women! Breeze offers fun, free, inclusive bike rides for women of all abilities across the UK. Breeze is for women, led by women. 

Project Evolve - Women's only MTB Jams across the UK

Having run events at Revolution Bike Park in Wales, Havok Bike Park in Lancashire, Bolehills BMX in Sheffield and the Cardiff Skatepark in Wales they are one to follow so keep an eye on their socials.
