Description

Glenlivet Mountain Bike Trails are set within the Crown Estate in the Cairngorms National Park. The purpose-built network includes three blue trails (Original Blue, Bazza's Berms and the Underthinker flow trail), a 22km red loop to the summit of Carn Daimh, an orange freeride line, a black hand-built descent, Mini DH, a pro-level jump trail (Kieran's Line), a pump track, a skills area, and hand-dug natural lines across the estate. The Bike Glenlivet centre has a cafe, bike hire, and a zip wire.

The Trails

  • Green Loop - An introductory loop and a good starting point for the Glenlivet trails, suitable for a wide range of riders.
  • Original Blue (9km) - A flowing, swoopy blue route, sort of like a bobsleigh run through bermed singletrack. No deliberate jumps, though committed riders will find air opportunities.
  • Bazza's Berms (blue) - A short blue-graded descent focused on berms and turns, positioned near the lower end of the trail network.
  • Underthinker (blue flow) - Built in April 2026 by Bikescape trail builders, the Underthinker is a blue flow trail starting near the top of the Orange and descending to Bazza's Berms. Funded by the Crown Estate Scotland, the Dornell Community Benefit Fund and Tomintoul and Glenlivet Development Trust, as well as car park ticket fees.
  • Red (22km) - The red climbs to the summit of Carn Daimh with views across the Cairngorms, then drops into 6.5km of singletrack descent packed with optional black-grade features and jumps. Tight and technical in places; allow around three hours.
  • Orange (1km) - The orange freeride line is 1km of jumps and berms for experienced riders.
  • Mini DH (under 1km) - Starts at the top of the car park. Muddy sections, roots, large drop-offs (can be ridden around), jumps and steep terrain. Includes an extended top section blending machine-built and hand-dug trail.
  • Glendura (black) - A hand-built line kicking in above the top of the Red, joining the red lower down through a mix of fast open hillside, technical terrain, loam and trees.
  • Kieran's Line (pro) - Named in memory of Kieran Mckandie (@keiranslegacysavinglives), this pro-grade XL jump trail is Glenlivet's most demanding line.
  • Pump Track - A 75m progressive pump track in front of the cafe.
  • Natural lines - A collection of hand-dug trails scattered across the estate, including Grey Area, Steep Spice and Diamh Hard.
