The Bike Park

Rabbit Hill Bike Park in Aberfoyle is an interlinked progressive MTB facility with berms, skinnies, drops, rollers, technical rock climbs and jumps, catering for a wide range of ages and abilities.

The original skills area includes around 200m of track and around 735m in total including return routes, access routes and the central linking section. The bike park continues to offer blue, orange and black riding, from beginner-friendly progression through to more advanced features.

The updated layout now includes an asphalt pump track built in a more linear “out and back” format, using longer straights to build speed into roller sections that can be pumped, manualled or jumped. From the start hill, the track leads into a 180 berm before moving through tighter rhythm sections focused on cornering and speed control, then opens into longer straights where riders can carry speed and vary lines through each lap.

Alongside the pump track, a separate jump line runs with slightly steeper features than the main track, allowing riders to generate more airtime while maintaining a clear progression option. The line feeds back into the main track, giving the option to link features or return to the start area.

On the trails side, reworked lines around the back of the bike park and additional jump features extend the riding beyond the pump track. Upgrades to the black-graded trails maintain higher-level riding options alongside the newer features, keeping a progression pathway across the site.

  • Further funding support was confirmed in 2024 towards upgrades to the existing skills area and a new pump track. Wider support around the current development has included SportScotland, Stirling Council, Shimano and Tradstocks, alongside support for trail sustainability, maintenance and volunteer development.

This wee bike park is a great place to warm up before heading in to the trails surrounding Aberfoyle. Also a good place to teach young and old in relative comfort!
