Antur Stiniog MTB Trail Centre

Antur Stiniog is a full-on downhill centre in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, built into a former slate quarry above the town. Fourteen gravity-fed tracks span green through black, from short warm-up runs to technical black lines and a dedicated jump trail with over 30 features. Every trail is accessed by the on-site uplift, a minibus with a spaced trailer, so there's no pedalling back up. Book your uplift place in advance, all trails here are uplift only.

Local Organisation

Antur Stiniog is run by Antur Stiniog Cyf, a not-for-profit social enterprise founded in 2007 that employs around 20 people at the bike park alone. The same organisation runs other community projects around Blaenau Ffestiniog, including Ty Coffi, a cafe and cultural venue in town hosting music nights, workshops and an art gallery, Eifion Stores, a local DIY and hardware shop, and Yr Aelwyd, a youth centre that opened in 2025. It also partners with Y Dref Werdd on woodland restoration and habitat management around the quarry.

In 2016 Antur Stiniog took second place in the iBikeRide Wales Trail of the Year awards.
