A new digital timing and ranking system for Velosolutions pump tracks is being rolled out across the UK, allowing riders to time laps, track progress and compete on local and global leaderboards using the Vorld smartphone app.

Developed by Velosolutions, the system uses an integrated track-based timing gate that automatically records lap times when riders cross a designated line. Riders can activate timing via the Vorld app, with results displayed after each session, including lap counts, individual lap times and ranking positions.

The platform is designed to reward both speed and frequency of riding, with points allocated through daily and monthly leaderboards. Rankings operate across age groups and disciplines, including bikes, skateboards, scooters, inline skates and wheelchair users, alongside overall classifications for multi-discipline riders.

The system is already installed across more than 200 Velosolutions pump tracks in 26 countries, with UK sites now joining the rollout. Kennoway Pump Track in Fife is one of the first examples where the system has recently been installed, allowing local riders to access global rankings alongside other participating venues.

Velosolutions says the “Vorld Gate” technology is embedded in the track surface and requires no external power, enabling relatively low-maintenance deployment across existing facilities.
