Walkerburn Pump Track, Scottish Borders — an all-weather asphalt pump track delivered by Velosolutions UK for the Walkerburn Community Development Trust, with funding from Scottish Borders Council and sportscotland. Opened in August 2024, it sits alongside a multi-use games area, giving the small Tweed Valley village a fresh, family-friendly riding space

Pump Track
The loop is around 110 m long and built to the usual Velosolutions standard — smooth asphalt, well-shaped rollers, and flowing berms that suit riders of all ages and abilities. It’s designed for bikes, scooters, and skateboards, with an easy gradient and space for beginners to build confidence. The track has already hosted local school sessions and community ride days, showing strong local engagement right from opening.

Other stuff
Next to the pump track is a multi-use games area (MUGA) with basketball hoop, football goal, and cricket wicket. The project was a partnership between Walkerburn Community Development Trust, Scottish Borders Council, and sportscotland, with help from Live Borders, KICC and HUPcc.com supplying bikes and coaching support. The track was officially opened with support from DMBinS and filmed by CJM Visuals 🎥.

The pump track is located on community recreation land in Walkerburn, close to the River Tweed and accessible via the A72. Limited local parking; public access on foot or bike from the village is easy. The site is open access and free to use.
