Description
Kennoway Pump Track is a floodlit, 240-metre asphalt pump track beside Sandy Brae Community Centre in Kennoway, Fife. Fife Council commissioned it from Velosolutions UK, and it is free to ride.
The Track
The loop is laid out with rotational symmetry, so two riders can start together and race each other round the same circuit, and you can ride it in either direction. Expect rollers and berms on a smooth asphalt surface, with several lines to choose between. It is built for bikes, scooters and skateboards, and suits first-timers learning to pump as well as riders chasing lap times.
The track carries a Vorld gate, which times your laps and ranks riders on daily and monthly leaderboards across bike, skateboard, scooter and wheelchair categories.
The track has hosted a Race the Worlds qualifier and a British Pump Track Series round, so it is well known among Scottish racers.
Getting Here
The track sits next to Sandy Brae Community Centre in Kennoway, off Sandy Brae and Kenmount Drive (KY8 5JN). There is a car park beside the community centre, and the Causeway bus stop is about 100 metres away.
