Description
Irvine Pump Track is a 100 metre asphalt pump track built by Velosolutions in the Sea Monster Park on Irvine's beachfront, part of the Maritime Mile and Great Harbour regeneration. It has twists, turns and rollers, two connections to try different lines, and a skate park beside it.
The Track
- A 100 metre asphalt pump track built by Velosolutions, with twists, turns and rollers plus two connections where you can try different lines.
- It is on Vorld, Velosolutions' lap-timing app, so you can ride it and time your laps.
- It sits on the beachfront with open grass and the sea air around it, beside the Irvine Beach car park.
- North Ayrshire Council funded the park through the Great Harbour project, backed by the Ayrshire Growth Deal, and works with local cycling groups to support use of the track.
The Skate Park
- A skate park sits in the same play area as the pump track, so riders and skaters can share the day.
Also in the Park
- The Sea Monster Park play area, with a large pirate ship, slides and a stone sea dragon, split into zones for different ages, including a mini play area.
- A picnic area and Pilot House Plaza.
- Public toilets in modular beach-hut style buildings.
- Irvine Beach is a short walk away.
