- The old Wetherby BMX Track in West Yorkshire rebuild is well underway. The bones of the new track are in place and pending a funding decision in the coming week or so - they hope to get the proper surface in place, fine tune, garden up and put in things like signage. Read more here.
- Alyth Bike Track in Perth and Kinross in Scotland is 10 years old and in need of some more intensive TLC than spades and rakes alone. Good news is the Alyth Hill User Group has been awarded funding from SSEN Transmission’s Community Benefit Fund to bring in a professional mountain bike trail builder and the renovation work has begun and expected to take 10 days.
- In the ongoing saga of the closure of Welsh Visitors centers the Senedd’s Environment Committee is calling for reopening plans to be published as a matter of urgency. They are "deeply concerned about the ongoing closure of Natural Resources Wales’ visitor centres at Coed y Brenin, Ynyslas and Bwlch Nant yr Arian ... and believes that proper plans should have been developed before the centres were closed in March".

- Saracen and Firecrest MTB have teamed up to relaunch the Firecrest MTB – Saracen Young Rider Development Programme (DeVo)for 2025. The initiative, led by respected coach Ian Warby, aims to nurture young talent in UK downhill mountain biking through structured coaching, race support, and mentorship. Read more here.
- Tarland Trails are offering corporate dig days something we know the Forest of Dean also offer this. Get in touch with them if your company is up for the challenge.
- Great to see FlyUp 417 Bike Park, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire reopen early May and they have been going from strength to strength. The Dirt Jump build is well underway so not long to welcome back the Field of Dreams and the big double black Infinity and Beyond Jump Line is nearly done. There is also a mystery new track in the mix coming soon. Watch this space.
- The team at Tidworth B1KE Park have been scratching away at those slippery algae spots, ensuring maximum grip in the places that need it the most!🔥 Never a better time to get over there.
- There is a new pump track in Aylesbury we have added to the site. Check out Berryfields Pump Track.
- Every Friday evening through the summer the folks from The Summit (the skills coaching park) at Swinley Forest are now running an open session with a fun social vibe (music, food, drinks and bikes). With so much trail investment, Swinley has been transformed in the last 5 years or so to an awesome progressive MTB destination. Get a visit in.
- Some of the awesome Dean Trail Volunteers have been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service at Buckingham Palace, celebrating their outstanding contributions to the Forest of Dean’s vibrant mountain biking community. Brilliant! The true heroes of MTB acknowledged.
- Ceri Evans is the last SheRides ambassador and will be hosting rides in the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest! 🌳🦌☀️. So Keep eyes peeled on their socials and our MTB Event Calendar.
- ON TRACK will be constructing a Pump Track in Bemerton Heath, Wiltshire way in Summer 2025 and are looking for people's views on two concepts to set the design direction of the project.
