Description

Alyth Bike Park

Alyth Bike Park is a small, well used bike park on Alyth Hill in Perth and Kinross, run today by local volunteers through the Alyth Hill Users Group. The site packs in one blue trail with optional red drop offs and jumps, a dedicated jump park, a pump track, and a wider network of natural, non waymarked trails on the hill above. It is a shared use site, so expect walkers on the same paths.

The Trails

  • The Blue: a flowing, firm track just under 600m long, graded blue, with a series of optional red grade drop offs and jumps that riders can bypass if they want to keep things mellow.
  • Jump Park: around 200m of jumps and berms aimed at intermediate to advanced riders, ungraded.
  • Pump Track: a compact loop of rollers and berms, around 40m round, suitable for beginners through to more experienced riders.
  • Natural Hill Trails: beyond the built features, Alyth Hill carries a wider network of hand built, non waymarked trails used by local riders. These are not signed or mapped, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off, or ask locally for current lines.

Local Organisation

The bike park is run by the Alyth Hill Users Group (AHUG), a volunteer group that leases the site from Forestry and Land Scotland and looks after trail maintenance and insurance. Find current updates on their Facebook page.
