The community-led Richmond Bike Park project has confirmed that it has now formally secured the land for the proposed bike park.

Shamblewood Trials Bike Park is a purpose-built bike trials venue in Hedge End, near Southampton in Hampshire. It is focused on low-speed, technical riding, using a mix of natural terrain and constructed obstacles, with ongoing projects that include Northshore-style elevated timber lines and a developing dirt jump area.

Trail Explorer has published a short blog arguing that Barnoldswick would benefit from a pump track, framing it as an inclusive, low-maintenance riding space for all ages and wheel types (BMX, MTB, scooters, skateboards, balance bikes). 

IMBA Europe says it will work on five Erasmus+ projects during 2026, aligned to its refreshed 2026 to 2030 strategy built around People, Places and Policy. The projects named are WildRISE (participation and engagement), DIRTT 3.0, Trails for Change and ROUTES (trail education, sustainability standards and trail information frameworks), plus CONNECT (protected areas policy and guidance).

The UK MTB Trail Alliance has contributed to a pivotal report launched by the new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Outdoor Recreation and Access to Nature. It calls for legislation to expand everyone’s access to green and blue spaces, and for the legislation to include increased access rights for mountain bikers and reduced landowner liability. The report gathered views from over 750 organisations and individuals from across the outdoor sector and includes 40 recommendations in total.
