Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS) has released a new resource β the Trail Management Guide for Mountain Bikers (October 2025) β to help land managers, trail associations, and volunteers across Scotland understand how to manage and sustain mountain bike trails for the long term.

Queen Elizabeth Country Parkβs mountain bike calendar is shaping up nicely π΅ββοΈ β with QECP Dig Days on 1 Nov and 6 Dec 2025 for those keen to get hands-on with trail maintenance πͺ£. Riders can join a Beginners Mountain Bike Ride on 28 Nov and a Ladies Social MTB Ride on 29 Nov, both relaxed, guided sessions around the blue trail and local bridleways via LetsRide.co.uk π². Looking ahead, CycleFest @ QECP rolls in on 4β5 July 2026 with demo bikes, coaching, guided rides, workshops, family activities, and plenty to explore across the park πͺ.

Bike Park Exeter has posted that the long awaited reopening is imminent, with the exact date to be confirmed. Our article earlier in the month had set 25 Oct as the planned launch date which hasnβt been hit but sounds very soon. So hopefully not long to wait.
