Description
Les Gets Bike Park is set in the French Alps, one of the resorts making up the Portes du Soleil, the largest joined-up mountain bike area in Europe. The park itself now runs to around 128km of marked trails across two sectors, Chavannes and Mont Chery, graded from green through to an elite pro-line tier, with a dedicated 4X track, a Jump Park, a Coaching Track and two pump tracks. A lift pass also opens up the wider Portes du Soleil network shared with Morzine, Chatel and the rest of the region. It is a genuinely big destination and the trails can get busy in peak weeks.

The Trails
The bike park splits across two distinct sectors. The Chavannes side carries the flowing, shaped trails and the park's dedicated feature zones: the Jump Park, a three-hectare zone of wooden modules and shaped dirt jumps for progression riding, sits at the heart of the sector alongside the Four Cross (4X) track and the Coaching Track, a blue-graded run built for technique practice. The Shore, a flowing blue descent past Lac du Plan du Rocher, and the black-graded Freeride du Canyon and In the Gas complete the Chavannes line-up, alongside the red Vion-Net, La Dejantee and L'Encape, and further blue runs including Tomawak, L'Arpette and La Roue Libre.
Mont Chery is the more technical of the two sectors, running through natural roots, steps and steeper forest sections rather than machine-built features. At the top of the grading scale sit Ellipse Line and Airlines, a pro-line tier above black for riders comfortable with big jumps and drops.
Two pump tracks give riders somewhere to session without a lift pass: Pump Track du Lac, an asphalt loop beside Lac des Ecoles with its own dedicated kids' area, and the wooden Village Pump Track in the heart of the resort. A green trail, The Squirrels, and a liaison trail linking Les Gets to Morzine cover the easier end of the grading scale. Grades run Green, Blue, Red and Black, with a further pro-line tier for the hardest jump trails.
Gravel Riding
Beyond the lift-served trails, Les Gets has a dedicated gravel offering: forest roads, high mountain pasture tracks and quiet backroads across the Chavannes plateau and around Mont Chery, with views to Mont Blanc throughout. Routes are less formally waymarked than the bike park trails, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off. Local bike shops rent gravel and e-gravel bikes if you would rather not bring your own.
Admission and Lift Pass Pricing
The pump tracks and any trail that does not need a lift are free to ride. Uplift on the bike park's own lifts is pay per ride or by multi-ride card: a single trip costs 9.30 euros for an adult, 7.00 euros for a child aged 5 to 15, and 7.90 euros for 16 to 25 year olds and over 65s, with a 6-ride card at 27.50 euros or a 12-ride card at 49.00 euros, both valid for 18 months. A full Portes du Soleil summer lift pass, covering the wider regional network, costs from 38 euros a day online for an adult, 194 euros for 6 days or 438 euros for the season, with reduced child, youth and senior rates. Prices are correct as of September 2026 but subject to change, so check current rates on the Les Gets bike park website before you book.
Getting Here
The main access point is the Chavannes underground car park, beneath the Chavannes chairlift at the foot of the slopes in the centre of the village, on Route du Front de Neige, 74260 Les Gets. It is open 24 hours and pay on exit. Village-centre parking is also available closer to the Mont Chery gondola for that sector.
Les Gets is about 22km from the nearest train station and around an hour's drive from Geneva International Airport. Regular buses run to and from the resort, and the village itself is small enough to get around on foot or by bike.
Local Organisation and Events
- The Pass'Portes du Soleil is an annual mass-participation event taking in venues across the wider Portes du Soleil region.
