Champéry Mountain Biking
Champéry is a lift-served downhill bike park in the Swiss Alps, grouped with neighbouring Les Crosets and Morgins as the Bikepark Champéry, Les Crosets and Morgins, part of the wider Portes du Soleil network that also links across to Champoussin. Champéry's own share is the black-graded World Cup downhill course, a red-graded alternative and a village pump track, plus a waymarked gravel loop out into the valley.

The Trails
- World Cup (DH Track 1, Black): the 2.3km World Cup downhill course, dropping 684m from the top of the Croix-de-Culet cable car through technical roots, rocks and steep forest. This is the course used for UCI Downhill World Cup and World Championship rounds.
- Chevreuil (DH Track 2, Red): a shorter 0.5km flowing berm trail through loamy woods, pitched as an easier alternative to the World Cup track though steeper than it first looks in places.
- Grand-Paradis Pump Track: a looping pump track of bumps and banked turns right in the village at Route du Grand-Paradis, open to riders of all levels.
- A Portes du Soleil mountain bike lift pass is required for the cable car. The lift runs daily through summer, then weekends only into late October. Check the regiondentsdumidi.ch bikepark page for the current timetable before you travel.
Gravel Riding
The waymarked Champéry to Val-d'Illiez e-bike route (Parcours 01) is a 15km loop of gravel 4x4 tracks and paved lanes, following the Vièze river down to Val-d'Illiez and back past the Frassenaye waterfall to Grand-Paradis. It is graded easy and passes cafes and restaurants along the way, so it also works well as a warm-up or rest-day ride away from the lift-served trails.
Getting Here
- Car park: Route de la Fin, next to the Champéry cable car base station and the Champéry railway terminus, in the village centre. Free parking in summer.
- By car: leave the A9 motorway at St-Triphon, then follow road 21 through Monthey, Troistorrents and Val-d'Illiez to Champéry.
- By train: the AOMC line runs from Aigle to Champéry in around an hour, calling at Monthey, Troistorrents and Val-d'Illiez, with the station right by the cable car base.
