After eight years operating in North America, YT Industries USA has announced it will close its business. The team said that despite “best efforts,” YT USA and YT Industries Germany were unable to reach an agreement on future operations.

The closure ends a chapter that began in 2016 when YT expanded from Germany into the U.S. market with a focus on direct-to-consumer mountain bikes and a strong rider community. The U.S. team thanked customers, partners, and riders for “eight incredible years” and said it had been “an honor to ride with you.”

In the UK, assets from the now-closed YT Mill in Guildford — including more than £170,000 worth of bikes and parts — were recently auctioned with bids starting around £2,600, as part of the brand’s wider restructuring.

According to Singletracks (Jeff Barber, Nov 1 2025), the U.S. closure follows YT Industries Germany’s insolvency earlier this year. U.S. bikes now show as “out of stock,” contact details have been removed from the site, and both YT Mill showrooms in California and Arkansas have stopped taking reservations. It’s not yet clear how customer orders or warranties will be handled.

Just read in their newsletter that there are 8 red at Dyfi. — I had thought there were 7, but it looks like one of the former black trails (Original DH) at Dyfi may now be running as a red, bringing the total to eight red-graded lines across the park. There’s still no blue, which is unusual as it limits progression for newer riders, so it lacks inclusion a bit, but there’s now plenty of variety within the red band itself, which is a positive. Wonder if they will ever plan a blue?

The line-up includes Original DH, Super Swooper, Lovely Dyfi, Muddy’s Berms, Cedar Rapids, Turns in the Ferns, Dirty Dishes, and the newer Third Degree Berms — a smoother option that’s fast becoming a go-to warm-up or first-run trail.

Tayside Trail Association (TTA) has released its autumn and winter dig day calendar, now live on Eventbrite. All sessions are free to join and open to everyone – no experience required.

SingletrAction reports that Section 3 of the Red Route at Dalby Forest has reopened following repairs to storm damage sustained last December. The closure had forced a steep diversion climb, now no longer required. Riders can again enjoy the full red loop as intended.
