Trail Maintenance Course, Saturday 7th November, 9.30am to 4.30pm. £160.

The course provides a great introduction to a range of the most common MTB trail issues and looks at simple and effective ways to fix them. It is ideal as an introduction to MTB trail maintenance for those who are also on the Trail Inspection or Supervisor courses, or as an update or skills refresher for those with some experience already. This one-day course provides hands-on experience in the repair of most common trail issues.

Key sections covered
• An overview of the common remedial actions, faults and fixes (drainage, surfacing, structures, sightline and vegetation management, common faults and fixes)
• Selecting the right tools for the job, methods of work, tool care
• Repairing built features
• Wild trails (unofficial), desire lines and trail grading
• Understanding the required documentation
• Lots of practical hands-on time out on the trails

Campbell Coaching also helped develop the programme of Volunteer Trail Repair supervisor courses for the Forestry Commission in England and Wales. You will receive an attendance certificate for the course, a Trail Maintenance Book and links to Dirtt resources.
