A beginner-friendly women's social night ride on Llandegla's blue route, hosted by SheRides ambassador Jo (want to step it up? There's a red ride on 22 November). Ready to ride at 6pm, approximately 2 hours riding. No guiding or coaching, just a friendly group ride; everyone is responsible for their own safety.
You must have your own lights and some night riding experience; more experienced night riders are welcome to share experience with newer ones. Charge your lights and dress for the weather.
The blue trail at Coed Llandegla is about 12km (7.5 miles): a gradual climb through the forest, followed by mostly flowing descents with some gentle uphill sections and small features. The trails are MTB (full suspension or hardtail) and e-bike friendly. Afterwards the group heads back to the café for a drink and a chat.
Meet Jo just outside the café, ready to ride at 6pm; be on time (what3words: ///alert.typically.sniff).
Facilities: paid parking, toilets, café, bike shop, paid bike wash. A helmet is a must: SheRides will not ride with anyone who is not wearing one. Other protective gear is up to you (the ambassadors normally ride with knee/elbow pads and maybe gloves, depending on conditions). You'll need a bike that is trail suitable, safe and in working order. Bikes can be hired from the Cycle Hub bike shop; book well in advance. Bring snacks and plenty of water.
The ride is free. OnePlanet Adventure charges for parking.
Sign up on the ride's Plus1 page (no app needed, Plus1 emails you a code). Contact the ambassadors by posting in the ride's comments on Plus1; if you're running late, there might not be signal at the meet point. Open to women 18+; you ride at your own risk.
