Nevis Range Downhill Mini Series 2026 - Round 3

Nevis Range Downhill Mini Series 2026 is a four-round youth downhill race series taking place across the 2026 season at Nevis Range in Fort William.

Event overview

The Downhill Mini Series is a standalone youth race series created for young riders, designed as an accessible introduction to downhill racing. Each round runs alongside selected major events at Nevis Range, giving juniors the chance to be part of a bigger race weekend.

2026 dates

• Round 1: Saturday 28 March 2026
• Round 2: Sunday 17 May 2026
• Round 3: Saturday 20 June 2026
• Round 4: Saturday 12 September 2026

Age categories

Racing is split into male and female classifications across the following youth age brackets:

• 6–8 years
• 9–11 years
• 12–14 years
• 15–16 years

Race format

Each round takes place on Nevis Range’s lower bike trails and no bike uplift is required. Participants are expected to push up to the Puggy Line. Maximum competitors are capped per round.

Entry

Entries are handled per round, with riders free to enter one, multiple, or all four events. Prizes and medals are awarded at each round for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, with overall series prizes based on a points system across all four rounds.

Timings

Event day timings are published per round and are subject to change. A typical schedule includes:

• Registration: 07:00 – 08:30
• Rider briefing: 09:45
• Practice: 10:00 – 12:00
• Racing: 13:00 – 14:00
• Prize giving: 14:30

Chaperones

Chaperones are required for children taking part in the event. Chaperones do not need to ride the trails, but must be present during the event. Adults who wish to ride along with junior participants can register as a chaperone on the day when signing up the junior.

On-site facilities include parking, café and food outlets, bike shop and workshop support, accommodation options, and public access to the wider Nevis Range venue.
