Description
Harpers Recreation Ground Pump Track is a pump track for bikes and scooters in Harpers Lane Recreation Ground, Chorley, a Green Flag park off Erskine Road. Chorley Council had it built in 2018 as part of a makeover of the park.
The Track
- Landscape Engineering built the track for Chorley Council in 2018, next to the new multi-use pitch. From an access ramp the layout runs over a table top, progressive rollers, a step up and a rhythm section, linked by four berms.
- The sign asks riders to ride within their ability, wear a helmet and suitable protective clothing, and ride in daylight hours only. Children should be supervised by an adult, and motor vehicles are not allowed.
- For more riding, the sign points riders to Mid Lancs BMX at Coppull BMX Track.
The Skate Park
- The park has a metal ramped skate park with quarter pipes, a funbox and a bank, close to the pump track.
Also in the Park
- Harpers Lane Recreation Ground has a bowling green, a play area for ages 2 to 12, a multi-use games area for football, basketball and cricket, and a woodland and meadow walk.
