Description
Bringewood sits within Mortimer Forest, just west of Ludlow in Shropshire, and offers a fast, technical downhill track alongside a demanding 18.6 km cross country loop. The Trails
- Bringewood Downhill Track: a fast, flowing woodland run with jumps, rock sections, drops and several line choices, graded Orange (advanced/expert). It is a full-length raced course and not everything can be rolled, so walk any section you have not ridden before.
- Bringewood XC Route: an 18.6 km loop with 830 metres of ascent, taking around 2 hours to complete. It is ungraded and unwaymarked, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.
Local Organisation
Pearce Cycles, the Ludlow bike shop that built the downhill track, still runs uplift days here and includes Bringewood as a round of the Pearce Cycles Downhill Series, a British Cycling Regional A Ranking series. Check Pearce Cycles' events page for current uplift and race dates. The track has also hosted the British National Downhill Championships in the past.
