A QR code at the trackside allows riders to download the Vorld app and set up an account, after which the embedded timing gate automatically records lap times and adds them to local and global leaderboards.

Woodland Wheels, which opened in 2021 on the site of the former curling rink in Boat of Garten, is approaching its fifth anniversary. The track remains free to use, with Ride Scotland covering running costs and insurance through donations. Anyone who enjoys a visit can donate here to help keep the track open.

The Vorld system is already running at more than 200 Velosolutions pump tracks worldwide, with Kennoway Pump Track in Fife among the first UK sites to get it. More on how the system works is in our earlier article on the Vorld rollout.

Give Woodland Wheels a rating for the Trail of the Year 2026 campaign whilst you're there. It's in the 'Pump Tracks' category.
