Muc-Off has signed a three-year partnership with Forestry England covering trail maintenance and tree planting across sites in the south of England, the two organisations announced on 14 August 2026.

The partnership sits under Muc-Off's Project Green sustainability initiative and has two strands: community trail stewardship and woodland restoration.

On the trail side, Muc-Off and Forestry England will run community volunteering days focused on mountain bike trail maintenance at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest in Dorset. The partnership also builds on Muc-Off's existing sponsorship arrangements at Whinlatter Forest, Forest of Dean, and Watchmoor Bike Park.

On the woodland side, the partnership will fund the planting of around 3,600 native broadleaf trees over three years. The first phase begins at Vernditch, an ancient woodland in North Dorset that was historically replanted with non-native conifers, with planting due to start in winter 2026/2027. Species will include oak, hazel and hornbeam. Further planting is planned for 2027/2028 and 2028/2029, at locations still to be agreed between Muc-Off and Forestry England.

Muc-Off staff will also take part in employee volunteering sessions each year, including winter tree planting and summer woodland management work.

Alex Trimnell, Muc-Off CEO, said the partnership takes Project Green "beyond our own four walls and into the places that matter to our community," and that the company wants to help create "a positive legacy for riders, forests and future generations."

Leif Mann, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Forestry England, said the partnership gives "the cycling and mountain biking community" the chance to support the forests it rides in.

Details of the first volunteering days have not yet been announced. Forestry England says it will publish these through Muc-Off's and its own social channels.
