Comrie Croft's Dual Track Is Back Open and the Rebuilt Skills Park Is Ready to Ride

Comrie Croft's dual track has reopened for spring, with the lower section on the blue graded trail back in action following its seasonal winter rest. The Perthshire trail centre closes this section each year to prevent damage during the wetter months, when the ground on that part of the hill is prone to heavy churn.

The track sits on the blue trail and has a push-up route running alongside, making it easy to session repeatedly,Β  whether you're working on technique or looking for a race with a riding partner. The team at Comrie Croft have also floated the idea of bringing back old doughnut features on the dual track and is asking the community whether they'd like to see them reinstated.

Skills park now open following rebuild

Earlier this year, Comrie Croft confirmed the completion of its rebuilt skills area β€” something we reported on when the rebuild was underway last year. The refreshed park features a smooth all-weather pump track designed to be accessible for mountain bikes, skateboards, and BMX, and sits right next to the car park and cafe. New dirt jump and pump track-specific hire bikes have also been added to the fleet, giving riders without the right kit a way to make the most of it.

About Comrie Croft

Comrie Croft is a 231-acre farm in the Strathearn Valley, Perthshire, reimagined across twelve nature-based enterprises, including bikes, a cafe, a farm shop, a market garden, a sauna, forest school, and accommodation. The bike operation, run by Comrie Croft Bikes, covers 21km of purpose-built trail across blue, red, and black grades, plus natural riding in the surrounding valley and a growing skills area. It's been a fixture of Scottish mountain biking since the mid-2000s and was crowned iBikeRide Trail of the Year in 2016.

20th birthday party β€” 25 April 2026 πŸŽ‚

With the dual track open and the skills park running, the timing is good: Comrie Croft Bikes turns 20 on Saturday, 25 April, and they're marking it with an afternoon of riding and community from 1 pm. Planned activities include a trail rideout, a BBQ in the skills park, a pump track competition, and a Le Mans-style mini race. Full details on the iBikeRide event listing.
