Description
Comrie Croft mountain bike trails are set in a private estate in the Strathearn Valley in Perthshire, Scotland. There are 21km of purpose-built trails including blue, red and black routes, a refreshed skills park and a new all-abilities trail. Natural riding options extend throughout the Strathearn Valley. The trails are open all year round and free to ride. Comrie Croft was crowned iBikeRide Trail of the Year in 2016.

The Trails
Blue Trail (4km)
- A blue graded trail for all abilities including adaptive MTB, split into three segments: Dual of the Earn, Cookie Monster and Dark Side of the Blue.
Red Trails (6km)
- A network of red graded trails with both hand-built and machine-built sections. Technical in places, with features including a bedrock slab, off-camber descents, a rock garden, water splashes and fun descents. Five sections: Rock Lobster, Stan Salvador, Forest Stump, The Muddy Rut and Phil Mabracker.
Black Trail
- Steep descents, rocky terrain and tight turns across three sections: Natural Gold, Hairy Coo Black and Sloppy Joes.
Skills Park and Pump Track
- The refreshed and rebuilt bike skills area (2025) features a smooth pump track designed to be accessible for mountain bikes, skateboards and BMX.
- The dual track is great for racing your mates or dialling skills. It rests during winter months; push up alongside for easy sessioning.
All Abilities Trail
- The Slow Worm (opened 2025) is an all-abilities, multi-use trail in the front field, designed to be accessible for a wide range of users including adaptive MTB bikes.
Natural Trails
- The surrounding Strathearn Valley has extensive natural riding. The shop can sort you with routes graded easy, medium, difficult or expert. Starting from the Comrie Croft centre: Comrie village (easy, 4 miles), Breafordie circular (medium, 6 miles), Loch Turret circular (difficult, 10 miles), Loch Tay expedition (expert, 20-30 miles).
- The Tayside Trail Association covers the wider Perthshire area and is worth checking for additional routes.
