BikePark Wales has opened Double Barrel, a new blue-graded flow trail at its Gethin Woods site in south Wales.

The trail opened this weekend and sits between Popty Ping and A470 on the hill, with its entry coming directly off A470 and running to the left of The Martian. Built for intermediates but with enough shape to keep advanced riders busy, Double Barrel is designed around a mix of features that reward both pumping and jumping.
The trail includes doubles, rollers, tables, a hip and high berms throughout. The doubles and tables give riders the option to pump through or get airborne at their own comfort level, while the hip offers a launch point for those looking to throw shapes. The high berms are banked to carry speed and encourage riders to lean in through the turns.
The design follows a similar approach to the blue features described during the build update covered here in February, with long-and-low table features and step-up elements visible in earlier shaping footage. BikePark Wales has described it as one of their best trails yet.
Uplift booking is available via the BikePark Wales website. The first laps were filmed with Olly Wilkins, Sam Hockenhull and Preston Williams, with the edit shot by Joe Simkins.
