BikePark Wales shares a build update on a new blue flow trail and Vanta changes for 2026

BikePark Wales has shared a build update outlining progress on a new blue flow trail, the return of Rock and Roll, early work on a new black line, and a significant rebuild of the Vanta event track ahead of 2026.

New blue flow trail: berms, rollers and step-up features

A new blue flow trail is currently under construction. The entry point comes directly off the access road into a tight opening berm before dropping into shaped rollers and early turns.

Initial shaping includes:

  • Two rollers immediately after the opening berm.

  • A small skim-style jump into a sequence of turns.

  • Multiple berms, including a full 180-degree turn.

  • A raised section intended to help water run off the trail.

Further down the line, more defined features are visible:

  • A long-and-low table feature.

  • A larger table described as similar in size to Poptiping, but slightly smaller.

  • Additional shaped turns leading into a straighter section across rockier ground.

  • A step-up table-style feature before the trail continues into more open terrain.

The build team is also bringing improved dirt up from lower on the hill to refine shaping and surface quality compared with the stonier material higher up. Drainage shaping is visible throughout the formed sections.

No opening date has been confirmed.

Rock and Roll set for return

Rock and Roll, which has been closed for around a year following storm damage, is being cleared and reshaped. Vegetation removal and berm reconstruction are underway as the team works to bring the trail back into use.

New black trail under development

A separate new black trail is also being cut in. The corridor is now clearly visible where previously only marked trees indicated the intended line. The trail is described as combining steep natural technical terrain with longer, lower jump features further down the hill.

Full details and opening timelines have not yet been released.

Major Vanta line rebuild for 2026

BikePark Wales is also undertaking a substantial rebuild of the Vanta line ahead of Vanta Jam returning in 2026.

Machine work is focused on the final straight and key jump features, with significantly larger landings and extended gaps compared to the previous event layout. The redesigned section aims to carry more speed while maintaining flow and rider control.

The event is stated as taking place on Thursday 14 May 2026, with tickets available via the BikePark Wales events page.
