Description
Whiteshill Bike Park is a free set of dirt jump lines on Whiteshill Playing Field, in the Cotswolds National Landscape just outside Stroud, Gloucestershire. B1KE rebuilt the jumps in 2026 for Whiteshill and Ruscombe Parish Council, which calls them the Whiteshill Bike Ramps.
The Jumps
- Dirt jump lines at the bottom end of the playing field, with rollers and jumps side by side and gap jumps in B1KE's design.
- Rebuilt in 2026 by B1KE with an improved layout and drainage, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, Gloucestershire County Council's Grassroots fund and Ecotricity, plus the riders' own fundraising.
- Young local riders built and looked after the earlier ramps with the council's permission, and the Parish Council now carries out regular checks and maintenance.
Riding Here
- The ramps are for conventional pedal bikes only, so no e-bikes.
- The Parish Council asks riders to wear a suitable helmet and protective equipment, ride within their own ability, take care on the jumps, take turns and take rubbish home.
- The field is shared, so ride slowly round the outside of it on your way to the ramps, looking out for other people, and get off and walk near the village shop.
- The council fences the ramps off during work, so stay out whenever the fencing is up.
- The whiteshill_bike_park Instagram account, run by a rider who helped build the jumps and now looks after them, posts updates and sessions.
Also at Whiteshill Playing Field
- A children's play area, a football pitch used by Randwick FC, a boules pitch, a basketball hoop, and seating and picnic areas.
- Ruscombe and Whiteshill Village Shop, a volunteer-run community shop at the corner of the car park, with a cafe and a public toilet. It closes early at weekends, so check its opening times.
Getting Here
- Whiteshill Playing Field is off Main Road in Whiteshill, Stroud, GL6 6AN.
- Park in the playing field car park beside the village shop. It is shared with residents and shop users and space can be tight. Commercial vehicles, caravans and motorhomes are not allowed, and the council can lock the gate for works or events.
- The jumps are at the bottom end of the field, about 150 metres from the shop. The way down is sloped and can be wet and muddy.
- Stagecoach West's 63 bus between Gloucester and Stroud stops at Whiteshill Primary, close to the field.
Nearby Riding
- The North Bike Track, Victory Park, Cainscross: a free pump track and jump line, also built by B1KE.
