Waltham Forests BMX is located in Cheney Row, Walthamstow E17. It consists of dirt based pumps & jumps and a BMX track. It is part of the Olympic Legacy. ELBO (East London Bicycle Organisation) is the local cycling club.
The new BMX track has been made possible through the work of Simon Hall at ELBO and Joe McTague at Access Sport as well as the GLA, Football Foundation, Waltham Forest Council and GSK.
Over the last two years this Olympic project driven by Joe at Access Sports has been building five new community focused BMX clubs, with five new BMX tracks in the Olympic Boroughs (at time of writing one more to go which is the Tower Hamlets track in Mile End due just after the games). The aim of the project is to link in with the Olympic Velopark that will be inherited by the Lee Valley Regional Park to allow young people the opportunity to become involved with cycling in the Capital.
If you have ridden the BMX track at Waltham Forest Cheney Row then why not write a short review and share your experiences with us?
