Description

Swadlincote Pump Track is an asphalt pump track in Cadley Park, Newhall, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, a new park on the site of the former Cadley Hill Colliery. The park opened in April 2023, and South Derbyshire District Council runs it.

The Track

  • An all-weather pump track for bikes and other wheels, built by Clark and Kent Contractors with stone and tarmac surfacing, track markings and safety signage.
  • A learn-to-ride area for children and newer riders sits alongside it.
  • The pump track was funded by a Sport England grant, with support from British Cycling, as part of the 1 million pound park scheme.

Also in the Park

  • A 1.1 km family cycle route, and just over six acres of new green space. The park won a Green Flag Award within months of opening.
