Description
Summerseat Pump Track, Bury – Originally built by local children in the 1990s, this community track was redeveloped by Summerseat Village Collective with Bury Council and Proffitts – Investing in Communities, in 2025. Dirt Factory led the redesign and build. Works include reshaping mounds and berms, resurfacing, and new signage. It launched in November 2025.

Pump Track
The new design combines asphalt and compacted gravel surfaces, with a track width of approximately 1.2–1.5 m. It features rollers, berms and a clear start/rest area, plus optional jump lines to suit progression: beginner-to-intermediate and intermediate-to-advanced. Suitable for all ages and abilities across MTB and BMX.
Other stuff
This upgrade sits within the wider Summerseat Island project to improve accessibility and create a space that supports both wildlife and recreation. Community engagement included sessions with Summerseat Primary School pupils and a public drop-in on 19 July 2025. Parking is limited, so please plan ahead.
