Sullivan Road Pump Track, Sholing, Southampton can be found in Sullivan Road Recreation Ground on the eastern side of the city. Delivered for Southampton City Council with contractor Schofield using Holcim UK’s SuperSport asphalt, it is a combined beginner and intermediate asphalt pump track of around 255 metres with six berms and twenty eight rollers, sitting alongside a multi use games area and play park.

Pump Track
The pump track runs in a loop within its own fenced area in the middle of Sullivan Road Rec. It is designed for a broad range of bikes, scooters, skateboards and wheelchairs, with a smooth asphalt surface and low to moderate height features that suit newer riders as well as more confident locals.
- Asphalt track roughly 255 m long with an approximate riding width of 1.9 m.
- Combined beginner and intermediate line so families can ride together.
- Sequence of six berms and around twenty eight rollers for pumping rather than pedalling.
- Gentle elevation range of roughly 0.3 m to 2 m that keeps speeds in check in a compact park setting.

Sullivan Road Rec is a neighbourhood park that now combines the pump track with a children’s play area, multi use games area and grassed space. The setting is aimed at local families rather than destination riders, with the track used by a mix of young children on balance bikes through to teens on scooters and bikes.
Grassed banks and seating around the wider park give parents and carers somewhere to sit while keeping the track in view. The surrounding parkland includes trees and informal access to nature as part of the wider green space network in Sholing.

Location and Access
The pump track sits within Sullivan Road Recreation Ground, between Sullivan Road and Smythe Road in Sholing on the east side of Southampton. It is a local neighbourhood facility with open access in a residential area.
Directions
By car: Approach Sholing from the A3025 Portsmouth Road, then use local roads signed for Sholing and Sullivan Road. Street parking is usually on the surrounding residential roads. Always park considerately and respect local residents.
By train and bike: Sholing railway station is the closest stop. From the station area it is a short ride through local streets toward Sullivan Road Rec.
By bike: The park links into local residential streets and quiet routes across Sholing, so it fits easily into local loops for families and younger riders.
