Description

Southampton Bike Park

Southampton Bike Park is a small, free-to-ride bike park at Southampton's Outdoor Sports Centre. It packs in a red-graded dual slalom track, blue-graded Daisy Cutter, Table Top Line and Big Kids Line, a black-graded Pro Line for experts, a dirt jump area, a pump track, a two-mile cross-country loop and a dedicated kids' line, with something for complete beginners through to expert riders.

The Trails

The park had a major upgrade in 2022, adding all-weather surfacing to several of its lines, a new black-graded jump trail, a dedicated all-weather push-up track and a proper start hill. A perimeter fence separates the park from the rest of the sports centre.

  • Dual Slalom Track (red): a fast race track with corners and jumps.
  • Daisy Cutter (blue): a mini downhill run, tight and technical, with hipped jumps and flowing corners.
  • Table Top Line (blue): a run of table tops and step ups.
  • Big Kids Line (blue): berms, jumps and a gap jump for confident younger riders.
  • Pro Line (black): an advanced trail for expert riders.
  • Kids Line: a dedicated line for younger, newer riders.
  • Dirt Jumps: four or five jumps for more advanced riders, best ridden in dry conditions.
  • Pump Track: a progressive, multi-line pump track suitable for all ages.
  • Cross Country Loop: a two-mile loop around the site.

Getting Here

Southampton Bike Park is inside Southampton's Outdoor Sports Centre, Thornhill Road, Southampton, SO16 7AY. The easiest entrance is from Coxford Road. Park in the sports centre's main car park. The bike park is a short walk up from the main building.

The wider Outdoor Sports Centre is partway through a major, multi-year redevelopment that started in spring 2025 and is expected to run into 2026 and 2027, including a new car park. This can mean temporary changes to parking and site access, so it is worth checking the Outdoor Sports Centre site before you travel.

Facilities

Southampton Bike Park is free to ride and open seven days a week. There's a car park and toilets on site at the Outdoor Sports Centre, run day to day by BH Live Active.
