Description
Silloth BMX Track is a gravel BMX track among the pine trees on Silloth Green, by the Solway coast. Young people in Silloth drew up the proposal for it, and it opened in December 2013 with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Silloth Town Council.
The Track
- Hard-packed gravel lines of rollers and berms wind between the tall pines at the edge of the Green. Riders describe it as dusty in dry weather, which makes for some dramatic skids.
- It was part of the Heritage Lottery funded regeneration of Silloth Green.
Also Here
- There are picnic benches and bins round the track, and Silloth Green also has an adventure playground and water play.
Getting Here
- Silloth Green, from Criffel Street or the Sea View car park, which has plenty of parking.
