Description

Queen Elizabeth Fields Pump Track in Gillingham is a free 241 m pump track built by Velosolutions, with an 80 m beginners track and a 160 m main track. It opened on 9 November 2018.

The Track

  • Two tracks: an 80 m beginners track and a 160 m main track, mostly asphalt with some crushed stone sections, 241 m in all.
  • Built by Velosolutions in five weeks on a former landfill site, where no digging was allowed, so over 3,300 tonnes of material were brought in to shape it (Velosolutions).
  • Funded with 170,000 pounds from the Local Growth Fund, and opened on 9 November 2018.
  • Free and unsupervised, for BMX and mountain bikes only, with no scooters. Riders under 12 need a responsible adult with them. Helmets and protective clothing should be worn. No dogs.
