Description

Phoenix Park BMX Pump Track is an asphalt pump track on the hilltop in Phoenix Park, Runcorn, with views across to the Fiddlers Ferry cooling towers. Halton Borough Council built it in 2019 with Windmill Hill Big Local, whose logo is painted on the start.

The Track

  • Horticon built the track in 2019: asphalt rollers and berms over shaped grass mounds, from a stepped start hill marked START.
  • The 62,000 pound project was funded by the council with Windmill Hill Big Local, Viridor Credits and the Landfill Communities Fund.

The Skate Park

  • Phoenix Skatepark is a short walk away in the same park.

Also in the Park

  • Phoenix Park is a Green Flag park with a basketball court, a multi-use games area, a climbing boulder, a playground, a pavilion and a lake, with canal and woodland walks. Runcorn parkrun is held here on Saturday mornings.

Getting Here

  • Phoenix Park, Phoenix Park Avenue, Castlefields, Runcorn, WA7 2LW.
