Description
Osmaston Park BMX Track in Derby is a track of berms, rollers and jumps on the southern side of Osmaston Park, built in 2021 by JB Extreme Landscaping Team for Derby City Council with Places to Ride funding from British Cycling. It is run alongside local BMX club Ozzy Wheels, which holds coaching sessions here for younger riders.
The Track
The track is built from asphalt and stone, with a series of berms, rollers and jumps. Halfway round it splits, so newer riders can take the smaller jumps while more experienced riders choose bigger ones, and there is an obstacle course on the same site. It is designed for riders of all ages and abilities. Like most outdoor tracks, it rides best when dry.
Ozzy Wheels and Events
The track is managed by Derby City Council Parks in partnership with Ozzy Wheels, a British Cycling affiliated BMX freestyle club based here. The club runs regular coaching sessions for younger riders, with bike and helmet hire at sessions for those who need it, and community events including an annual Easter BMX Jam. Session days and times change, so check the Ozzy Wheels Facebook group before you go. The track is open to the public outside sessions.

Getting Here
The track is off Moor Lane in Osmaston Park, close to Moorways Sports Village and about three miles south of Derby city centre. There is some parking near the track, with more at Moorways Sports Village.
