Northampton Bike Park
Northampton Bike Park is a purpose-built mountain bike park in the Hardingstone area of Northampton, with a green multi-user trail, blue, red and black graded trails, a head-to-head dual track and a dedicated skills area. The 40-acre site was transformed from the former Hardingstone Nine golf course by trail specialists On Track, and is free to ride for every level, from balance bikes to experienced riders.

The Trails
The park splits into an East side for newer riders and a West side where the trails step up in difficulty, plus a dedicated skills area and a dual track built for side-by-side racing.
East side (Green and Blue): the Multi User Trail is a dual-direction loop for all abilities, including a green climb known as Poo Hanger. Also on the East side are Uncle Fester, PDQ and Double Bogey, plus 1460, the dual track.
West side (Blue, Red and Black): Blue Nunn and Raise the Tone lead into the more testing terrain here, alongside the newer Mother Superior trail. A45 is the park's Red-graded line, while Jett Black and Cherry Bomb are the Black-graded descents for experienced riders.
A dedicated Skills Area sits alongside the West side trails, with its own green and blue graded sections for practising jumps, rollers and cornering before heading out onto the main trails.
Facilities
Car parking (paid, via the Poppay Plus app or by phone), toilets and a cafe are all available next door at Delaprรฉ Golf Centre, alongside bike racks, a basic tool station by the skills area and seating around the park. There are no bins on site, so take your litter home, and helmets are compulsory for all riders. Northampton Bike Park also has a solar and wind-powered defibrillator and blood trauma kit near the Skills Area, installed in partnership with local medical equipment manufacturer Turtle Engineering Ltd.
Getting Here
If you're visiting by car, please park at the Delaprรฉ Golf Course on Eagle Drive, postcode NN4 7DU. Parking is pay by app or phone (Poppay Plus, site code 10140), with the first hour free for drop-offs. The bike park itself is free to ride and open from sunrise to sunset.
The Build
Northampton Bike Park was designed and built by trail specialists On Track, who transformed the former Hardingstone Nine golf course into what On Track itself calls one of a new breed of Urban Bike Parks, alongside its sister site in Leamington Spa, Newbold Comyn Cycle Hub. The ยฃ750,000 project was funded through Sport England's Places to Ride fund, delivered in partnership with British Cycling, which contributed ยฃ250,000, with the remainder funded by West Northamptonshire Council. It remains free to ride, kept running through car park income, coaching and donations.
