Description
Newhaven Skatepark and Pumptrack combines a full tarmac pump track with a concrete skatepark in one connected layout, so riders can move seamlessly between the two. Set within Fort Road Recreation Ground on the edge of Newhaven, East Sussex, it's built for BMX, mountain bikes, skateboards and scooters, and welcomes riders of all abilities from complete beginners to seasoned pros.

The Track
- The pump track is split into two connected sections: a smaller, simpler loop on the upper level and a bigger, faster, more technical lower section with berms, rollers and transfers.
- Riders can drop from the upper section into the lower course to build speed, with several exit points along the way.
- The adjoining skatepark is an open bowl with banks and quarters leading into a half bowl, and the layout lets riders move freely between the pump track and skatepark elements.
- A small pump station with a bike stand and tools is on site for quick repairs and adjustments.
Getting Here
- By car: free parking is available on site at Fort Road Recreation Ground. From the coast in either direction take the A259, or the A26 if coming from the north, then follow the signs for Newhaven and for Newhaven Fort.
- By train: the nearest station is Newhaven Town, not Newhaven Harbour. It's a short walk across the bridge, then head south to the park.
- By bus: the 12, 12A, 12X and 13X services run between Brighton and Eastbourne and stop in Newhaven. Eastbound services start at Brighton Train Station, westbound services start at Eastbourne Pier.
