Description

Much Hoole Pump Track is a dirt pump track on Smithy Lane in the village of Much Hoole, near Preston. Local volunteers built it and Much Hoole Parish Council funds and looks after it, and its riders range from three-year-olds to people in their sixties.

The Track

  • Local resident Chris Hewitt built the track with the landowner, the parish council and volunteers, and it was redesigned in 2020 with professional advice.
  • A loop of hard-packed rollers, berms and a tabletop runs round a grassed centre, with two levels so riders of different abilities can share it.
  • The parish council leases the land and inspects the track regularly.

Also Here

  • There are picnic tables and a bin by the track, with a wildflower area and trees donated by South Ribble Borough Council.
