Description
Milnshaw Park Pump Track is an asphalt pump track by Velosolutions in Milnshaw Park, Accrington, opened in September 2021. Alongside the main pump track there is a separate adventure trail for beginners, young children on balance bikes and adaptive bikes.
The Track
- The main pump track is about 120 metres of asphalt with red-edged berms and several interlinked lines.
- The adventure trail is about 100 metres long and has road markings so younger riders can practise road safety skills. Velosolutions says it suits beginners and adaptive bikes, as well as timed laps with friends.
- British Cycling's Places to Ride fund and the Lancashire Environmental Fund paid for the tracks, with Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum.
