Description

Mereside Pump Track is an asphalt pump track in Mereside, Blackpool, beside the Marton and Mereside Youth and Community Centre. Google Maps lists it as Pump Track Blackpool. It opened in March 2011, and local young people helped design it.

The Track

  • Former BMX world number one Tony Fleming of Dirt Works built the track. It has since been surfaced in asphalt with white edge lines, and it now has four or more parallel lines of rollers linked by a long berm across the far end.
  • It suits riders of all ages on BMX bikes, mountain bikes and scooters.

Getting Here

  • Bowness Avenue, Mereside, Blackpool, FY4 4TE, next to the youth and community centre and Mereside Park.
