Description
Marina Park BMX Track is a small asphalt BMX loop of rollers and berms in Marina Park, Groby, on the western edge of Leicester. It sits beside the play area and the car park, and it is looked after by Groby Parish Council.
The Track
- The track is a compact two-lane loop surfaced in asphalt, with rollers along the straights and a berm at each end, laid out on open grass.
- Groby Parish Council describes it as a safe, accessible place for local young riders to ride BMX, and it suits BMX and mountain bike riders who want to practise pumping and cornering.
Also in the Park
- Marina Park is a formal park with a play area for toddlers and juniors beside the track, so it works for a family visit where younger children play while others ride.
- Asphalt paths link the park to Stamford Memorial Park and to Marina Drive.
Getting Here
- The track is in Marina Park, off Marina Drive in Groby (LE6 0DX), with an extensive car park right beside it.
- The car park has a gate and height barrier that stop access outside the park's published opening times, so check the times posted at the park before you plan a late ride.
