Description

Maldon Prom BMX Track is an asphalt track of rollers and berms in Promenade Park, Maldon's riverside park on the Blackwater estuary. It is free to ride, and the park is open all year.

The Track

  • Maldon District Council resurfaced the track with asphalt and put up new safety fencing, after the old surface wore out (council works programme). The council describes it as very popular with children, young people and families.
  • The layout has a raised start mound, rollers and berms, and an inner loop, all asphalt with concrete edging.

Also in the Park

  • Promenade Park is free to enter. It has a galleon play ship, an inclusive play area, a zip wire, sand pits and a wildlife garden, a paid splash park in summer, an ornamental lake and a model boating and crabbing lake, beach huts and riverside estuary walks.
  • There are cafes and kiosks, and three toilet blocks, one with a Changing Places toilet.

Getting Here
