Description
Kimber Skatepark and BMX Track is a free, staffed youth facility run by Wandsworth Council in King George's Park, with an asphalt pump track of rollers and berms beside a concrete street skate park.
The Track
- Despite the BMX in the name, the track is a pump track: an asphalt loop of rollers and berms winding between grassy mounds, right next to the skate park.
- The site is staffed and keeps set hours, usually weekday afternoons in term time and longer days at weekends and in the school holidays. Check the venue's Facebook page before you travel.
The Skate Park
- A concrete street plaza with banks, ledges, rails and quarter pipes, opened in 2013.
- The venue runs a Saturday Skate Club with group coaching, booked online through EEQU, plus weekend and holiday activities.
Also in the Park
- A tuck shop and skate shop on site, and toilets.
- King George's Park around it has playing fields and walks along the River Wandle.
