Pump Track
This is an asphalt pump track built as a continuous circuit of rollers and berms. It is a compact loop-style layout with multiple linked turns and inner sections, giving it more depth than a simple out-and-back line. It has a more feature-rich central area, to offer a mix of smoother laps and more involved line choices as riders progress.
- Surface: Asphalt
- Layout: Continuous circuit with rollers, berms and linked inner sections
- Builder context: Specialist builders Clark & Kent
Other stuff
The project was originally approved by East Suffolk Council in 2024, with a revised design approved in December 2025 that adjusted the track layout and fencing. It sits within the wider Millennium Sports Ground setting rather than as a standalone roadside spot. Plans also show an existing informal footpath being diverted around the boundary of the new facility.
Facilities
Gated access, fenced CCTV, benches and planting around the pump track. Opening hours are 07:00 to 22:00 daily, with motorcycles and mopeds not permitted.
