Description
Hereford BMX Track is a 300 metre BMX race track on the Westfaling Street playing fields in Hereford. It has a Bensink start gate, and Herefordshire Council describes the layout as suiting everyone from beginners to the most experienced riders.
The Track
- The 300 metre race track starts from a Bensink gate, similar to the one used at the London 2012 Olympics.
- The turns and the finish strip are asphalt, with a dolomite surface on the rest of the track, and a multi-option straight lets riders pick different lines (Clark and Kent Contractors, who built it).
- The Hereford Dirt Riders BMX Club uses the track and helps look after it.
Also in the Park
- The Westfaling Street playing fields also have a basketball court, a football pitch and a children's play area.
Getting Here
