Description
Hail Weston BMX Track is a small BMX track on the village playing fields in Hail Weston, near St Neots. It was built in 2012 as part of a playing field redevelopment that began with a children's petition.
The Track
- A compact S-shaped track of hard-packed rollers and berms, beside the hard court. The parish council calls it a mini BMX track, so it suits younger riders and anyone working on their pumping.
- BMX Tracks by DT Leisure built it in 2012, with WREN and Awards for All grants funding the wider redevelopment.
- The Friends of the Hail Weston Playing Field look after the field with regular work parties.
Also on the Field
- The playing fields also have a zip wire, a climbing fort, a trim trail, a willow tunnel, a play mound with a slide, a basketball court, a half-size football pitch, swings and climbing frames, and covered seating and picnic benches.
