Description

Eckington Pump Track is a free asphalt pump track at Lansbury Playing Field in Eckington, North East Derbyshire, run by Eckington Parish Council and built for bikes and scooters on the edge of the village.

The Track

The track is a compact circuit of rollers and berms on black asphalt, with painted arrows showing which way to ride and green painted edging on the berm turns. It replaced the skate park that stood on the same site. Eckington Parish Council describes it as designed for bikes and scooters and suitable for older children and youth, and asks that e-bikes and motorbikes are kept off it. It is free to ride and there is no booking.

General

The track sits on a long-established village playing field and is run by Eckington Parish Council. It was paid for with developer contributions from a nearby housing development, secured through the planning system, and was delivered in 2024 to 2025.
