Description
Duddon Pump Track is an asphalt pump track in Wilson Park, Broughton-in-Furness, a village at the foot of the Duddon valley in south Cumbria. Clark and Kent Contractors redesigned the long-standing track in key sections and resurfaced it in asphalt, so it now rides well in all weather.
The Track
A compact circuit of asphalt rollers and berms that you can lap by pumping rather than pedalling. The rebuild smoothed out the old worn surface, improved the banking in the turns and fixed the drainage, so water no longer pools on the lines after rain.
It suits BMX bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and inline skates, and riders of all ages and abilities.
Getting Here
Head for Wilson Park, LA20 6HT, in Broughton-in-Furness. The village is on the A595, and Foxfield station on the Cumbrian Coast Line is a short ride away.
