Description
Donnington BMX Pump Track is a four-lane BMX pump race track at Broad Oaks, off Wellington Road in Donnington, Telford, built by Clark and Kent Contractors for Telford and Wrekin Council. Asphalt turns link hard-packed straights of rounded rollers, and there is a start gate for racing.
The Track
- Straights of rounded rollers and a few longer transitions reward smooth pumping and good speed management, whether you are lapping for flow or working one section at a time.
- Clark and Kent Contractors describe it as a place for riders to build their racing skills before taking on the full-size BMX tracks in the area.
- Wrekin Riders BMX Club, a British Cycling Go-Ride club, uses the track and runs weekly coaching.
